YOUFactors, a brand of SafeStart, has been at the forefront of revolutionizing safety training for over 25 years by tackling human error as a key factor in reducing accidents and injuries.
In the early 1990s, Larry Wilson, SafeStart's founder and author, analysed hundreds of workplace incidents and coached clients on safety observations. His growing conviction that addressing human factors could significantly cut accidents led him to focus on identifying the root causes of incidents and developing techniques to disrupt the “state-to-error-risk” pattern, aiming to prevent accidents.
Initially targeting workplace safety with reductions in incident rates of up to 50%, Larry's methodology quickly expanded to enhance “human error reduction” beyond the workplace, improving both safety and performance.
Driven by companies’ growing need for smarter people development, YOUFactors was launched in 2020 as the personal companion that helps employees reduce human error across all aspects of their life – not just safety management.
